Events

Protection of tribal land rights

Girijana Vikas Swatchanda Seva Samstha successfully facilitated the distribution of Title Deeds to over 2,000 tribal families under the Forest Rights Act (2006). This was the result of years of struggle in coordination with intellectuals, social activists, and progressive political leaders. The initiative has ensured land security and legal recognition for tribal households in the region.

Programs

Honey Processing & Tribal Livelihood Enhancement

Tribal families are actively engaged in honey collection, but unfair pricing by intermediaries like GCC results in income loss. Girijana Vikas plans to train tribal collectors in honey extraction, hygienic processing, bottling, labeling, and direct marketing to ensure better income and fair trade practices.
